Writing and any other form of creative expression is a lifelong practice deeply rooted in the body.

This is me
Introducing oneself can be truly complex when wearing many hats: I am a writer, writing teacher, yoga and meditation teacher, busy mama of two girls, and an experienced astrologer — and, quite literally, I’m known for wearing colorful hats.
My journey spans continents and cultures, with homes in Belgrade, Serbia, and Seattle, Washington in the Pacific Northwest. I also find a loud sense of belonging in Italy, and Istria, Croatia. My nomadic experience of living in-between languages and continents fortified literature as the place where I always feel safe and rooted. Embracing this in-betweenness as my true essence has been a journey of travel, learning, growth, change, writing, and teaching.

Currently based in Belgrade, Serbia, I am completing my Ph.D. dissertation in Transdisciplinary Studies in Contemporary Art and Media at the Faculty of Media and Communications. My research focuses on the intersection of autofiction and memory across various arts, examining female authorship in the 21st century, transgenerational storytelling, and post-Yugoslavian feminist narratives.

I hold an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College (class of 2017, Port Townsend, WA) and a MA in Italian Language and Literature from Belgrade University. I studied creative writing at UW (University of Washington). Additionally, I am a 500-hr registered yoga teacher and educator (E-RYT® 200, RYT® 500, YACEP®), with special training in Yin Yoga, Tantra, mindfulness, and trauma-informed practices. To learn more about my integrative work with yoga and astrology, I invite you to visit my business page Body&Stars.

How I teach
My extensive training in yoga and mindfulness deeply influences my teaching, allowing me to offer a unique, trauma-informed approach to creative writing. I see and honor your journey, stories, and experiences, recognizing the impact they have on your body and creativity. My role is to create a safe, nurturing space where you feel supported to express yourself freely.

Through integrating mindfulness, movement, breathwork, and sensory experiences, we will work together to unlock your stories and refine your voice.
I believe everyone has a story to tell and deserves a safe, encouraging space to share it. I’m especially passionate about supporting women writers as they develop their voices with confidence and authenticity.

Come with me on this journey of discovery — a space to explore identity, welcome the creative process, and witness the transformative power of storytelling.
