Thank you for being curious to learn more about me! I can't wait to meet YOU!
I tried to write a short explanation of who I am and what I do, but I keep messing up the word count.
A mama writer, creative writing teacher, editor, yoga teacher, star witch.
Born and grew up in Belgrade, Serbia, then moved to the United States, Seattle, WA, where I've become who I am today, I continue to live in-between languages and continents. I also speak Italian, and every day, I use the language of the stars to align myself with the Universe.
I hold an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College, class 2017, Port Townsend, WA, and a BA degree in Italian language and literature from Belgrade University, Serbia.
I serve as a Managing Editor for Pif Magazine.
I created MAMA WRITES when I was in the middle of my MFA program, writing a novel with an infant sitting in my lap, and a preschooler clinging to my arm. I wanted to help more mama writers figure out how to write alongside raising children.
I think too much: about stories, characters, words, and their usage; about the world and its pain. Such overthinking creates anxiety and worry. When worries kick in, I turn to yoga to find my way back to the body and senses.
I am a 500 hours registered yoga teacher, specialized in teaching Yin Yoga, Vinyasa, Restorative, and Trauma-Informed Yoga.
Thank you for coming to my page! If you have questions about writing or yoga for writers, my classes or workshops, or writing in general, please send me an e-mail to start a conversation. I'm looking forward to connecting with you.
