Moon and Creativity

Our primordial creative power is contained in the element of water. Life came from water and water makes up most of the human body.  Out of five elements (earth, water, fire, air, and space) that, according to Ayurveda, have built the world, the element of water is the one we call upon when we create. The Moon is the celestial body that, thanks to its gravitational force, moves the Earth's waters and all the liquids inside our bodies. Not only blood and lymph but urine, saliva, bile, sweat, tears, semen, gastric juices, breast milk. All these liquids make us vulnerable and human.

When we harmonize with the force of the Moon, the water inside our bodies flows effortlessly, as does our creative potential. The only limitation to our imagination and possibilities lies in the occasional waterlessness of our minds.

Yin Yoga, the practice of quiet and stillness, speaks to the Moon. The Moon speaks to me, teaching me how I can use my knowledge in both Yin Yoga and Astrology toward creating a practice that will help writers and all creatives tap into that fluid energy of divine creation.

Prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic, I moved my FULL MOON YIN CLASSES to the ZOOM platform. Every month, the night before or of the Full Moon, I will offer a special class sequenced to awaken and blossom your creative power. These classes do not have a fee. If you can, you are welcome to PayPal me a donation. When you can't, the class will be my gift to you.

RSVP for a class to receive a ZOOM link in the Events section below, or email me directly.

“The moon is a loyal companion.
It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human.
Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.”
